Interlaboratory comparative testing is used to test capacity of the laboratory in competently providing of specific testing or calibration and to control consistency and comparability of testing or calibration results.
Reference functions and duties in the field of Interlaboratory comparative testing are defined by legislation:
- Veterinary Medicine Law, 11th Article
- Cabinet Regulations Nr.864 (2009) "Regulations for Reference Laboratory status granting and accreditation procedure, functions and duties as well as facilities and equipment requirements in fields of food, feed and veterinary”,
- Cabinet Regulations Nr.404 (2008) "Regulation on recognition and monitoring of raw milk quality control laboratories”.
Organizing of Interlaboratory comparative testing and evaluation of obtained laboratory results is provided in accordance with requirements of LVS EN ISO / IEC 17043:2010 standard "Conformity assessment. General requirements for the qualification examination". (This standard replaces previous - ISO / IEC Guide 43-1:1997 and ISO / IEC Guide 43-2:1997 standards.)
For valuation of results is also used ISO 13528:2005 standard for the statistical methods used in proficiency testing.
