Certification – certificate of conformity (given by a third-party) for products, processes, systems or personnel (ISO / IEC 17000).
"BIOR" is a competent, independent, third-party conformity assessment authority that operates in accordance with requirements of standard BS EN 45011 "General requirements for bodies operating with product certification systems” and performs the certification of fishery products by developed and approved certification systems and schemes.
Certification of products is provided by assessing compliance with requirements and criteria defined by laws and regulations (in the legislation of Latvia as well as in regulations and decisions of EU), standards and other documents (specifications, contracts, etc.).
Certificate of conformity issued by "BIOR" confirms compliance of product with the particular safety and quality requirements (including indicated by customers). "BIOR" issues certificates for the domestic market and export. (It also is possible in foreign languages.)
"BIOR" keeps the register of the certified products and their producers.
