The Scientific Advisory Council is the central authority of the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment "BIOR", represented by one scientist from each of the main research areas in the Institute. Members of the Scientific Advisory Council are elected for three years by a majority vote from the General Meeting of the Institute scientists.
Main functions of the Council:
- definition of courses of the Institute's action;
- election of the Director of the Institute;
- election of other officials and persons for academic positions;
- approval of strategy of the Institute's activities and development.
