On October 26-27, the 8th meeting of the Nordic Biosafety Network will be taking place in Riga, Latvia, at the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment "BIOR".
The goal of the Nordic Biosafety Network is to provide a communication platform for biosafety professionals and to create a Nordic platform of applied biosafety. The Nordic biosafety Network is an expanding community with members from national authorities and institutes, public health, academia and industry.
The Nordic Biosafety Network convenes annually for 1-2 days in any of the Nordic countries, organised by a local committee.
Topics related to applied laboratory biological biosafety and biosecurity are presented and discussed and every meeting has its own unique features depending on the specialised expertise and interest of the local organisers. This year presentations will be focused on the CWA-biorisk management standard and biosafety networking.
More information will come closer to the meeting.
