From 30 June to 1 July representatives of the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment „BIOR” take part in the Workshop on Laboratory Diagnostic and Quality Assurance in Baltic Food and Veterinary Laboratories in Vilnius, Lithuania. The above event for the specialists of Baltic Food and Veterinary Laboratories is organized by the Lithuanian National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute.
Topics of the workshop will be countries animal disease situation, laboratory biorisk management, food laboratory control and quality assurance in food and veterinary laboratories.
Carrying out conferences, workshops and other collaborative events is common practice among laboratories of the Baltic States.
Director of the institute „BIOR” Rafael Joffe says: „Laboratories of Lithuania and Estonia are our nearest colleagues. As neighbouring countries we often have confronted with similar problems as well in the field of animal diseases as in food safety. By mutual consultations we can find and apply the best solutions for these problems.”
In the Baltic States the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment „BIOR” cooperates with the Lithuanian National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute, the Lithuanian State Food and Veterinary Service and with the Estonian Veterinary and Food Laboratory (VFL).
