From 6 to 10 February group of experts from FSFI «Centre for Grain Quality Assurance» (Moscow, Russia) is visiting the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment “BIOR” to acquire training course on Laboratory quality management system.
Under the guidance of “BIOR” experts Russian colleagues acquire principles of European Union (EU) laboratory accreditation system as well as get to know requirements for laboratory accreditation in EU and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
Training course includes also themes like specific requirements for work organization in microbiology and chemistry laboratories, internal and external control of examination results, interlaboratory comparative testing, internal audit, metrology and personnel management.
FSFI «Centre for Grain Quality Assurance» is under the jurisdiction of Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) and operates as a testing laboratory, methodical centre, and certification body under the system of foodstuffs, food raw materials and feeding stuffs certification.
The main purpose of the Institution is to carry out the integrated state policy in the field of quality and safety control of grain and grain products in Russia.
To improve their professional skills and exchange experiences with foreign colleagues, specialists of the Institution regularly receiving training abroad. The Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment “BIOR” has cooperation with FSFI «Centre for Grain Quality Assurance» in the field of laboratory accreditation. “BIOR” experts help their Russian colleagues to fulfill requirements and to prepare for laboratory recognition in EU by accreditation in the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau.
